Introduction

TSL Contractors Ltd are proposing to submit an application for Planning Permission to Argyll & Bute Council for a development in the village of Craignure.

A Proposal of Application Notice was lodged with Argyll & Bute Council in November 2021.

This exhibition allows TSL to present their proposals to the local community and give them an opportunity to provide comment on the proposed development.

Location

Craignure is a village situated on the east coast of the Isle of Mull around Craignure Bay. The village lies within the parish of Torosay.

The village stretches along the A849 (the main road around the island) and is serviced by a local bus, providing access to Fionnphort and Tobermory.

The village is the main ferry terminal on Mull for the crossing between Oban and Craignure.

The proposed development site sits to the North- East of the village of Craignure and can be accessed via the A849. The site is close to the centre of Craignure village - a two minute drive or ten minute walk from the ferry terminal.

The Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa sits directly across from the site and the Mull and Iona Community Care Hospital is situated north-east of the site boundary.

Existing housing and a small woodland area also lie within the site’s immediate surroundings.
